Okay. Here’s the deal. We’re always looking for new bands. Local, touring, international. We typically book original rock- or folk-based bands, but have dabbled in pretty much every genre you can imagine. We don’t really like it when you drop CDs or press kits at the bar. Honestly, we usually lose them and spill drinks all over them. We’d much rather you email us a link to where we can find you and your music online. We’re crazy high-tech like that. You can use the email below:

ottawatavernadam[at]gmail[dot]com

We learned early on that when we try to explain why a band isn’t a good fit with our bar, no one really gets it, so if you don’t hear from us within a week or two, it probably isn’t gonna happen. If we like what we hear, we’ll get back to you and set up a show and give you more details. Feel free to throw out some dates that work for you and we’ll try to make it work.

We typically put on 2-band shows and they usually start later than at most venues. We start shows when a crowd shows up. Sometimes that can be midnight or later. We always have live music Thursdays through Saturdays, but will put on off-day shows if you’re a touring band passing through town Sunday through Wednesday. We also pride ourselves on the fact that 99.9% of our shows are free, but we are still able to offer bands guarantees. But we’ll talk about that later.

For more info, feel free to email the address above. Also, to get an idea of what we’re looking for, here’s the obligatory list of bands that we’ve booked in the past:
